The Persona Connect+ Softphone for iOS and Android brings the powerful capabilities of the Persona Connect platform directly to your mobile device. Install our app to manage your calls, voicemails, answering rules, conversations, and every aspect of your business communications on the go.

Transition smoothly between your Persona Connect web portal and mobile device without missing a beat. Take comfort in knowing that you're always just a tap away from your most critical business connections, whether at your desk or on the move.

Find us in the App Store by searching for Persona Connect+ or by scanning the QR above.

 

Signing In

Once the app is installed, you must sign in using your existing Persona Connect credentials. These will be the same credentials used for the Connect Portal. Should you need it, there is also a forgot username &  forgot password link on the login screen.

If you have enabled MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication), the screen below will appear and ask for your 2-factor Code.


App Permissions

The iOS app requests the following permissions to ensure the app is fully functional:

User's Device Settings

Permission can be altered later within the device settings if permission is not granted. Depending on the device, the screen may not look like the example below, but there should be a list of installed apps and "settings" for those apps. Toggle the permissions on and off. 


Notifications

Allow incoming phone calls and SMS messages to display on the device.


Lock Screen Appearance 

Enable privacy when needed. If message previews are turned off, then the app will state only that there is a "notification". If message previews are turned on, the app will send a notification that includes the beginning of the message. 


Using the App

Contacts Screen

The Contacts screen is the default home screen on the Persona Connect+ iOS app. Users can dial internal extensions and external phone numbers here. When a new contact is added to the app, it will sync with the portal immediately (may require a web refresh). 


Placing a call

You can place a call on almost any screen in the app by selecting a contact or manually typing in the number via the dial pad. 

If you're in a poor data coverage area, you can hit the three dots and select "Call with Mobile Phone" to make the call from your cell phone carrier. (Carrier Rates may Apply)

Receiving a call

Incoming calls come in as a typical call on your device, similar to the one below. Answer or Reject using the blue and red buttons as shown below.

Upon answering the call, you will see your call window, which allows you to perform multiple standard actions (speaker, mute, hold, end call) on your call.

  • + Add Call
    • Allows you to dial another number and then choose whether to hold a 3-way conference or keep the calls separate using the hold feature
  • Switch Phone
    • Select from a list of your available devices to move the call too
  • More
    • If enabled, call recording can be enabled/disabled from this menu

Voicemail Screen

The Voicemail screen syncs with the portal and displays all available voicemails. You can filter by new, saved, or trash. 


Chat and SMS

The Chat and SMS screen displays all available SMS conversations. Tap on a conversation to view more information. Chats are organized chronologically; the latest reply moves the entire conversation to the top of the list. 


Call History

The Call History screen displays the user's inbound, outbound, and missed call history. 


Call Queues

Call Center features can be added to the Persona Connect+ app. This allows you to take Queue calls on the go! When you first launch the app, the Call Center screen will be the first one that appears. Here, you can see your queues, how many calls are waiting, how many agents are signed in, and more. 

NOTE: This feature is not enabled by default. Should you need it, please open a support ticket with Allegiant Technology, and we can enable this feature. 

MY QUEUES - This shows the information below on the queues you have been assigned to.

Selecting the Status Icon at the top right will pop up a menu allowing you to update your status.

Go Offline - Signs you out of all queues you are a member of

Single Call Mode - This allows you to sign in and take a single call before the system logs you back out

End Shift - Select this once you have finished taking calls for the day

MY STATS

The My Stats screen shows you the Totals and Averages of inbound and outbound calls over the last 12 hours. 


More Screen

The More screen (3 horizontal lines) includes profile settings, answering rules, greetings, settings, the app's "about" information, and the log-out button. 


Answering Rules

You can adjust your Answering Rules by sliding the rule to the top. For more information about setting up Answering Rules, see our Persona Connect: Users Guide.


Greetings

Here in the greetings section, you can select from pre-existing greetings that have been set up and choose which one you would like to be active. You can also record a new greeting on the go!


Settings

Please note the following options available under Settings:

1. The app's mobile data option is on by default. This enables the use of cellular data networks. If it is toggled off, the app will be limited to Wi-Fi use. 

2. A Mobile Number can be entered. This allows you to select whether the default calling method should be Persona Connect+ (The Softphone) or the mobile phone (best for areas with poor data connectivity). You can choose which option you want anytime a number is dialed. 


About

In the about screen you will find the version of Persona Connect+ you are using as well as the ability to send us any log files should you run into any issues. Please be sure to verify you have an open ticket to associate the log file to, This will help ensure we are taking care of your issue.
