Persona Connect: How to create a user

The steps in this article will walk you through the basic steps when creating a user on your domain.

Note: This can only be done with an Office Manager scope or higher.

Navigate to the following URL

https://portal.personacloud.net/portal/users


From Here, click on the Add User button to the left.


You will now be presented with a form for user creation. Below the form is a short description of each field for your reference.

Field

Description

First Name Users First Name
Last Name Users Last Name
Extension Desired Extension (Must be Unique)
Department Select from the existing dropdown or type a name for new department creation
Site If applicable, select the site for the user
Email Address Users' email, Will be used for Welcome Email as well as any voicemail settings if applicable.
Emergency Address Select from a previous address created, or you may create a new address for this user's emergency calls.
User's Scope Device Only or Teams User, If your user's scope needs to be anything other than these, please get in touch with support so we can make the adjustment for you.
Emergency Caller ID Phone number to be sent for a callback for 911 Calls
Enable Voicemail Does this user need voicemail?
Add Phone Extension If the user is going to have a physical device, you can check this box to create
New Password Leave Blank (User will create this once we send the welcome email below)
Voicemail Pin Leave Blank (User will create this once we send the welcome email below)

Once you have completed the form, Please select “Add User”

You will see at the top of the screen “Adding User” along with a User Created Successfully message once it's complete.


Next, we will want to send the user a Welcome Email, which will provide them with a way to finish the setup on their account.

Select the checkbox next to the new user and click on Bulk Action at the top


In the Bulk Action Menu, You will see the user selected on the left. If multiple users were selected you will see them all in the list. 

Select “Send Welcome Email”

Click “Complete Action” to send the email. The user should now receive a welcome email to the platform.
